Rather than offering yet another work on Montessori pedagogy, in this little book Renilde Montessori offers her own personal collection of snippets on child education. Her light-hearted style and amusing images convey a series of very serious underlying messages which provide an insightful theoretical basis for the concept of Educateurs sans Frontières, an initiative of the Association Montessori Internationale that aims to revive the corps of educators in the Montessori Movement who work outside traditional school settings.

Renilde Montessori is Maria Montessori’s youngest granddaughter. She has worked for many years for the Montessori Movement, having held the post of General Secretary and President of the Association Montessori Internationale. She originally instigated the Educateurs sans Frontieères project and participated in the first two assemblies held in Città di Castello in 1999 and Burgos in 2004.
